Have you ever felt like there was something God wanted you to do, but you weren't sure what or how to do it? That's exactly how we felt when we decided to take the steps to start a ministry. We knew it was what God wanted us to do, but we had no idea how to start a non-profit much less how to run it once we did. However, we started taking steps of faith. We had people encouraging us to just do it, so we did! We filled out the papers having no real idea what we were doing. However, God faithfully placed people in our path to answer our questions and advise us. That's how you know you are in the will of God, things that shouldn't be working out are working out. Not because of your efforts or knowledge, but because God has gone before you and paved a way!
In October of 2021, our ministry was officially an entity! The papers were filed, and we had a non-profit. What now? This journey has developed us into people who take the next right step. When you don't see what God is doing, you take the next most logical step in the direction He is leading you. Step by step some things became clearer while others seemed very uncertain. We knew we wanted to help others understand how much Jesus loved them, so we prayed for opportunities to do that. These prayers were answered in ways we never imagined.

Phil was already involved with Hiram High School as a Fellowship of Christian Athletes character coach. This led to many opportunities for Live Transformed Ministry to serve Hiram High School and the surrounding area. God would present us with a need, and we would meet the need. For a year, we provided food for families in need in Paulding County. There were so many times we had no idea where we were going to get the money to buy the food we had committed to provide. However, month after month the money would come from the least expected places. A few times people at the store would see the cart filled with so much food and ask what we were doing. When we told them we were helping families in need, they would give us money. God showed up every time!
As time went on, we have continued to seek God for more ways to help people and share His love. We have been given opportunities to provide Christmas presents for students in need, take clothes to families, pray with families, provide toiletries for students in need, and much more. One privilege God has allowed us to participate in is hosting church for the residents at Varenita of West Cobb, an assisted living facility in West Cobb. Every Sunday we gather with the residents and worship God and read His Word together. This time of fellowship is a blessing for the residents as well as our family.

Starting the ministry has been a leap of faith! God has called us to do things we are not qualified to do, but through the power of the Holy Spirit we have accomplished things we could have never imagined. John 14:15 says, "If you love me, keep my commands." This passage goes on to tell us that the Holy Spirit is the one who will help us keep the commands. The most important command God gives us is to love Him and love others. Live Transformed Ministry was birthed out of a desire to love God and love others.
Is there something God is calling you to do to love Him more and to love others? If so, do it! Don't worry about how it will all work out, just take the next right step. We are so grateful God has allowed us to have a ministry to serve others. It has not been easy, but it has been worth it! We can't wait to see how He uses us in the future to grow His Kingdom.
